Detection scores on this site are estimates produced by statistical heuristics, not proof of authorship. A short passage, a translated text, a technical document or a heavily edited draft can all read as machine-written when a person wrote them, and a careful rewrite can make generated text read as human. Treat every result as one signal among several. In particular, do not use a score on its own as grounds for an academic penalty, a hiring decision, or a public accusation. The same caution applies to the image and video detectors, which read compression and noise characteristics that ordinary editing can change.
